Like Cambridge, a simple one camera set up might do the trick????
If we aim folks at segments of a somehow sponsored Schenectady Today, maybe a three camera soapbox is more tech than needed........
The other possibility, if we think it would be used enough, is do the soapbox as we were imagining AND do a one camera, head on, soapbox with something really straightforward.......not a lot of capital sitting there, but a really simple thing for folks?
The even simpler "single camera" option could be met by simply loaning somebody a camera, tripod, microphone and mabe a small light - and letting them find their own quite place someplace in the building.
ReplyDeleteIn the current design, 1 camera would probably be used most of the time alone. The 2nd cameras default position is actually pointing down - onto a flat surface - serving as a document camera, a simple way for people to show photos and flyers without scanning. The third camera would only be needed when you had multiple people in front of the soapbox - like an interview. In that case, one would probably need help switching the cameras from the reverse control position.
The number of cameras really does not impact cost that much. The "hard mounted" nature of the box design has as much to do with locking down llighting and camera position for the greenscreen to work well - as it does security and necessity.
